It's ONLY the 3rd day of a new week........

OMG!....Well where do I start? I spent my entire weekend STUDYING for my first RN exam!...Blow me down...Well I didn't know HOW to study.lol I tried so many different methods, and then decided to just READ the 12 chapters!...What ever my little brain could retain, then I figured I'd be good. I passed with a 70. I didn't get down about this low grade because to top off all of the studying, I only had 1 hour of sleep before the test. My brain wasn't in a position to do any type of critical thinking. This was my first lesson that in order to be a good Nurse, SLEEP is like the most important thing to have before starting your shift :). YAY I learned that one early.lol

Today went well. We attended our 2nd lab class. It wasn't so exciting for me though. The topics were transferring a pt using a gait belt, making up an unoccupied/occupied bed, and giving a bed bath. I have never worked in a hospital before, but as of right now, I don't have a wish or desire to do so.lol I'm sure that as we gain access and experience all of the departments in the hospital, my outlook and overview of things may change.

I met my clinical instructor, and I have to say that I give her like the MOST respect thus far. Off of the strength that she not only noticed my pregnant belly, but she ASKED if I were expecting. I KNOW that everyone else noticed, but nobody wanted to ask. Well @ 26wks pregnant, it's really no way to cover/hide Jordyn. She did say that she had students who had their babies on a Tuesday, and were back to Clinicals on a Thursday. I CAN DO THIS!!....In fact, I'm ready to talk to my Dr. to see what he thinks about induction, and if there was anyway that he could assist in making my life so much easier. I'm not really up for the idea of doing such a thing, but I know that Jordyn will be perfectly fine if we brought her into the world just a tad bit early (I'm talking like a week).

Tomorrow we start our day 1 with the new Nanny. I hope this works out for my family and that she's a great person to take care of our babies. I will check back in very soon. There's so much reading and catching up on assignments. I have 5 days to do it, and I know that I can :). Until next time, God bless.
